Terms of Service
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Kip, a scheduling, payments, and client-communication platform for mobile pet-grooming businesses, provided by Kip (“Kip”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Kip, a business (“Business,” “you”) agrees to these Terms.
1. The service
Kip provides scheduling, client and pet records, quoting and pricing, payment processing (via Stripe), staff and field-operations tools, and client messaging across SMS, email, WhatsApp, Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger, and web chat. Availability of a given channel or feature depends on the Business completing any required third-party account connection and verification.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
3. Client messaging and consent
You are responsible for obtaining and honoring your Clients' consent to receive messages on each channel you use, and for complying with applicable law (including SMS/telemarketing law such as the TCPA, and CAN-SPAM for email) and each channel provider's own policies (including Meta's Platform Terms, WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, and Instagram/Messenger platform policies).
You agree not to use Kip's messaging features to send unsolicited marketing to any person who has not provided the consent required for that channel and message category, and to honor opt-out requests promptly. Kip enforces consent and opt-out rules at the point of sending, but you remain responsible for the content and legality of messages you choose to send.
4. Payments
Payment processing is provided by Stripe. By accepting card payments through Kip, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and acknowledge that Stripe, not Kip, holds and moves the underlying funds. Fees for the Kip subscription and any payment-processing fees are disclosed separately.
5. AI-assisted features
Where enabled, Kip may use a third-party AI service (currently OpenAI) to suggest draft replies to client messages based on conversation and client context. Draft suggestions are reviewed by your staff before sending unless you have explicitly enabled autonomous sending for a defined set of message types. You remain responsible for the content of any message sent from your account, whether drafted by a human or suggested by an AI feature.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Kip to send spam, harassing, deceptive, or unlawful messages; to violate any Client's privacy; to reverse-engineer or resell the service without authorization; or to use the service in a way that violates the terms of any connected third-party platform (Stripe, Meta Platforms, or others).
7. Data ownership
You own the Client, pet, appointment, and business data you enter into or generate through Kip. We process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data or request its deletion at any time, subject to reasonable technical limitations and legal retention requirements.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an account as described in the applicable subscription agreement. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for a material violation of these Terms, including violations of a connected platform's policies that put our own platform access at risk.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Kip is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kipwill not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in your Kip account or by email before taking effect.
